BS TV Tokyo will broadcast the series from Wednesday, October 1, 2025."Wakakozake Season 9"The drama will be broadcast every Wednesday night from midnight to midnight. This is the ninth installment in the popular gourmet drama series starring Takeda Rina, in which she enjoys drinking alone with her catchphrase, "Psshhh." The drama series follows Murasaki Wakako (26 years old), an office worker born with a "drinker's palate," as she wanders from bar to bar, enjoying the pleasure of drinking alone. The original work is Wakakozake (Monthly Comic Zenon/Core Mix) by Shinkyu Chiemi, which has sold over 3.3 million copies (print and digital combined/24 volumes published to date).

This time, in addition to visiting many attractive establishments that drinkers will want to visit, we also undertook filming on location in the regions. The Hokkaido episode begins with a tour of Kunimare Sake Brewery, the northernmost sake brewery in Japan, and then moves on to Rumoi City and Mashike Town in Hokkaido, where we enjoy the fresh seafood delicacies and drinks that are unique to these scenic port towns, and experience the late-night drinking culture with the Rumoi Solo Drinking Handbook in hand. The Fukushima episode visits Kitashiobara Village and Urabandai, where we enjoy a "girls' trip" surrounded by beautiful lakes and ponds such as Lake Hibara and Lake Goshikinuma, and magnificent nature! We savor the mountain salt delicacies and unique drinks that are unique to this region.
The owner of Wakako's favorite restaurant, "Oraku" (Yoshihiro Nozoe) and Aoyagi (Kenta Kamakari), and my colleague Mii-san (Kinuo Yamada) and Abe-chan (Mizuki Watanabe) and other familiar members will also be appearing!

Less than a year has passed since the previous season, and thanks to your support, we've reached Season 9. This time, we ventured beyond the Kanto region and even visited Rumoi City and Mashike Town in Hokkaido, as well as Kitashiobara Village in Fukushima Prefecture. We're truly grateful to the locals who warmly welcomed the "Wakakozake" crew. We enjoyed delicious sake from the northernmost sake brewery, a variety of locally crafted alcoholic beverages, and local cuisine. The entire staff worked tirelessly to ensure that we could deliver that deliciousness and joy to the viewers. We were also able to realize an episode about a zoo, something Takeda and the crew had always wanted to do. This season, once again, features a wide variety of sake, food, and visuals, and Wakako shows even more diverse and wonderful expressions than usual. Filming on location and sharing meals and sleeping quarters in various regions has strengthened the bond between Takeda, the regular cast, and the entire staff. I'm sure the delicious food and the fun of filming exude from the screen. Once again, we put all our effort and effort into making Season 9, and we hope you all enjoy it too.
