On April 10th, an entrance ceremony was held for the first class of Kumamoto Prefectural Takamori High School Manga Department students, which was established as the first Manga Department at a public high school.

Coamix is working with the Kumamoto Prefectural Board of Education and Takamori Town to promote the establishment of the department. At the entrance ceremony, our representative, Nobuhiko Horie, also took the stage to congratulate the 40 new students and convey the importance of being interested in everything, not just manga.

The students will now begin to learn practical manga production, such as how to create characters and panel layout, in an environment where making a debut while attending school is not a dream.
