Sunday Theatre "The 19th Chart" Mackenyu Arata will play the role of surgeon Kojiro Togo at Uotora General Hospital, Yoshino Kimura will play the role of pediatrician Shiori Arimatsu, and Min Tanaka will play the role of Tokushige's teacher Noboru Akaike!

Mackenyu Arata, Yoshino Kimura, and Min Tanaka have been cast as the doctors and mentors surrounding Tokushige!

Mackenyu Arata, Yoshino Kimura, and Min Tanaka have been cast as important cast members who are deeply involved with Tokushige, played by Matsumoto, and who will color the story. Mackenyu Arata plays Kojiro Togo, a surgeon who is the son of the head of surgery at Uotora General Hospital. Kojiro has performed numerous surgeries at a young age, and is highly regarded within the hospital for his solid skills and calm judgment. Kojiro always deals with things rationally without being swayed by emotions, and has the opposite way of thinking to Tokushige, who tries to find the best for the patient even if it takes time. This is Arata's first appearance in Sunday Theater since "Aogeba Totoshi" (2016). After appearing in the Netflix live-action drama series "ONE PIECE" (2023) and his first Hollywood lead role in the movie "Saint Seiya The Beginning" (2023), what kind of doctor will Arata, who is active both domestically and internationally, show us? Anticipation is also building to see how he will confront Tokushige, who could be described as his polar opposite.

Kimura Yoshino, who will be co-starring with Matsumoto for the first time, plays Arimatsu Shiori, a pediatrician who also works at Uotora General Hospital. Arimatsu, who has a straightforward personality, is a veteran doctor at Uotora General Hospital. As the head of the pediatrics department, she must not only focus on daily medical care, but also on improving the department's profits and training young doctors, and is forced to face reality. Kimura has played many roles up until now, but this is her first time playing a pediatrician. Just like the character she plays, Arimatsu, Kimura has steadily built up her career, so it will be interesting to see what new charms she will bring to the role of a pediatrician, which she is taking on for the first time.

And Tokushige's teacher, Akaike Noboru, will be played by world-famous dancer and actor Tanaka Min. Akaike is a man who has worked hard to establish a general medical department in Japan. He worked at a large hospital and trained general medical doctors, but now he works on an island as a doctor, caring for the residents. Tanaka, who has captivated the world with his unique dance style for many years, will be appearing in his first Sunday Theatre role since "A LIFE ~Aisiki Hito~" (2017), and one of the highlights will be seeing what kind of teacher-student bond he will develop with the main character, Tokushige.

The presence of Tokushige, a general practitioner who represents a new form of medical care, creates various ripples within Uotora General Hospital. How do specialists Kojiro and Arimatsu feel and change after meeting him? And what was the trigger for the deep master-disciple relationship that was built between Tokushige and Akaike? Please pay attention to the roots of Tokushige, a general practitioner. A medical drama that depicts the theme of "examining people" through the sincere way he faces his patients. What does it mean to "live" in modern society? Please look forward to the Sunday Theater "The 19th Chart" that starts in July, which warmly asks such universal questions through daily medical treatment.

<Mackenyu Arata comment>
This is my first time taking on the role of a doctor. The character I play, Kojiro Togo, is the polar opposite of Matsumoto's character, Tokushige, and has a personality that deals with things rationally. The source of this personality is his father, who is the head of the surgery department at the same hospital. Please look forward to watching Kojiro Togo grow as a doctor as he overcomes various obstacles, such as his conflict with his father and his clashes with Tokushige.

I'm enjoying filming every day. There are many staff members and actors I'm working with for the first time, so I'm still nervous. I'm going to play a pediatrician who always takes care of me, so I feel like I'm stretching my spine. I hope everyone enjoys watching it.

<Min Tanaka Comment>
The character I play has a body. This is where it all began. This character (human) has a position, which is interesting. A human's position is determined by the environment and era in which they stand... I think about it in various ways, which is also interesting. Humans start to speak in the words of the human being written in the script, not my words. "No matter how old you are, if you are lost, you will be lost" - that's true. But I have never said something like "It's interesting!" What kind of person am I becoming... is this growth?
