The poster visual showing the gaze of general practitioner Tokushige has been released! The first broadcast is scheduled for Sunday, July 13th!

The poster visual for this film has now been released. The art director is Shintaro Kira, who has worked on visuals for numerous films and artists. The photographer is Yoshiharu Ota, who has worked closely with Matsumoto in the past for a photo book and participated in Matsumoto's first exhibition, "PERSPECTIVE - A Gaze that Connects Time". In the center, Tokushige is surrounded by soft light and has a gentle smile on his face. He appears to be asking the patient gentle questions. Based on the theme of "patient history", Tokushige's greatest weapon as a general practitioner, this visual condenses the image of Tokushige in the examination room, carefully listening to the patient's voice, sometimes even discerning the lies hidden in their words and carefully engaging in dialogue.
Tokushige is there for the pain and anxiety of his patients, as well as the small sufferings that lurk in our daily lives. His warm, embracing gaze gives off an air that makes you want to have him listen to you. In addition, "round scopes" showing close-ups of parts of the body are scattered throughout the exhibition, symbolizing Tokushige's attitude of examining with his eyes, listening with his ears, and using his five senses to communicate with patients, regardless of age, gender, or organs. Please pay attention to each and every one of them.
The film will also be distributed domestically through the video distribution services "U-NEXT" and "Netflix". After its domestic distribution on "Netflix", it has been decided that it will be distributed in other countries around the world. In addition, the film will be available for catch-up streaming on the official commercial TV distribution services "TVer" and "TBS FREE".
A medical drama that depicts the theme of "examining people" through the sincere interaction with patients. What does it mean to "live" in modern society? Look forward to the Sunday Theatre "The 19th Chart" that starts on Sunday, July 13th, which warmly asks such universal questions through daily medical treatment.
Synopsis
Japan's advanced medical care is divided into 18 specialized fields.
Each specialist examines and treats patients, but there are also issues such as patients with complex symptoms not knowing which department to go to, and as a result, patients are passed around from department to department. The 19th new department, general medicine, was created to solve these problems. However, the reality is that the existence and significance of this department has not yet been fully understood by the public or among doctors.
The Uotora General Hospital, which serves as the core of the local medical care of a certain town, decided to establish a new general medicine department. The hospital director, Eikichi Kitano, unilaterally decided to establish the new department and was eagerly awaiting the arrival of a general practitioner.
Meanwhile, novice orthopedic surgeon Takino Mizuki (Koshiba Fuka) is having trouble with Yokobuki Junichi, an elderly male patient who is hospitalized. Yokobuki is in the hospital with a broken leg, but he complains that his throat is sore and lashes out at Takino, saying, "You're a doctor, but you can't even cure a cold?" However, Takino, who can only leave sore throats, which are outside his area of expertise, to another specialist, is unable to argue with the patient's nasty remark... Then, a man calling himself a "general practitioner" named Tokushige Akira (Matsumoto Jun) appears...!?
