Sunday Theatre "The 19th Chart" The cast of unique doctors and nurses who work at the same hospital as general practitioner Tokushige are all revealed!

The nine unique cast members playing the roles of doctors and nurses at "Uotora General Hospital" are all revealed at once!

Shimizu Hiroya, Okazaki Taiiku, Iketani Nobue, Honda Riki, and Matsui Haruna will appear as doctors and nurses working at Uotora General Hospital! In addition, a luxurious cast including First Summer Uika, Tsuda Kanji, Ikeda Narushi, and Namase Katsuhisa will also appear to add color to the story! Shimizu Hiroya, who is still fresh in our memory for his excellent performance in the Sunday Theatre drama "Diamonds Sleeping in the Sea" broadcast in October last year, will play Kayama Keita, a rookie internal medicine doctor who is in the same year as Koshiba Fuka's Takino. Kayama is a philosophical thinker who believes that "it's pointless to think about things that you can't find an answer to." For that reason, he seems to be annoyed by Takino, who is honest and struggles between his ideals and reality.

The role of anesthesiologist Tetsuo Osu is played by Okazaki Taiiku, who is a singer-songwriter and actor. Osu values doing his job steadily and going home early above all else. He finds communication with people troublesome and difficult. However, he is annoyed by Chayazaka from the cardiovascular surgery department, who keeps bothering him.

Nobue Iketani plays veteran nurse Akiko Toyohashi. Toyohashi is assigned to the newly established General Medicine Department and works as Tokushige's right-hand man. She is so well-informed within the hospital that it is rumored that there is no information she does not know. It seems that she has known Tokushige for a long time...

Honda Riki plays ENT doctor Hirate Shu. Hirate is gentle, kind and modest. He is careful not to cause trouble with the doctors in each department.

The role of young nurse Seto Maiko is played by Haruna Matsui, a rising star who made her acting debut last year. Seto is a young nurse in her third year, but her calm and efficient work is relied upon by the other doctors and nurses.

And the role of cardiovascular surgeon Chayasaka Kokoro will be played by First Summer Uika, who has been very active as an actor in recent years. Chayasaka is a star doctor with outstanding skills who has been attracting attention in the medical world. However, he also has one of the strongest personalities at Uotora General Hospital, and he gets involved with people he is interested in, which can confuse them.

Takino's supervising doctor and head of the orthopedic department, Narumi Tatsuya, is played by the renowned supporting actor Tsuda Kanji. Narumi is always calm and strict, and tends to give the impression to his juniors and subordinates that he is difficult to approach. His motto is efficient and rational medical treatment, so he questions the existence of a general medicine department that spends a lot of time on one patient.
Ikeda Narushi plays Togo Rokuro, the head of the surgery department. Togo is very strict and manages the hospital's management with a strict hand. He is the father of Kojiro, played by Arata Mackenyu. He was a classmate of Director Kitano at university, but they tend to have conflicting opinions on everything from hospital management to everyday conversation. He is also skeptical of the new general medicine department that Director Kitano established, questioning whether it is necessary.

Furthermore, Kitano Eikichi, the director of Uotora General Hospital, will be played by Namase Katsuhisa. Namase is a unique actor who has shown versatile acting in the many productions he has appeared in. Kitano, who he plays, is a director who seems sloppy and unreliable, but he is the person who established the general medical department at Uotora General Hospital. This will be the first time Namase and Matsumoto have co-starred in a drama in 23 years, since the first series of "Gokusen" (2002, NTV). The two's well-coordinated dialogue is also worth watching.

A diverse cast has been assembled, from accomplished actors who have appeared in numerous productions to famous supporting actors with a strong presence. Look forward to seeing how the unique doctors and nurses they play at "Uotora General Hospital" interact with the main character, Akira Tokushige, played by Jun Matsumoto, and how they will color the story.
A new medical drama that tackles the theme of "treating people" head-on through the sincere interaction with patients. What does it mean to "live" in modern society? Please look forward to Sunday Theatre "The 19th Chart" starting at 9pm on Sunday, July 13th, which warmly asks such universal questions through daily medical treatment.

Synopsis

Japan's advanced medical care is divided into 18 specialized fields.
Each specialist examines and treats patients, but there are also issues such as patients with complex symptoms not knowing which department to go to, and as a result, patients are passed around from department to department. The 19th new department, general medicine, was created to solve these problems. However, the reality is that the existence and significance of this department has not yet been fully understood by the public or among doctors.
The Uotora General Hospital, which serves as the core of the local medical care of a certain town, decided to establish a new general medicine department. The hospital director, Eikichi Kitano, unilaterally decided to establish the new department and was eagerly awaiting the arrival of a general practitioner.

Meanwhile, novice orthopedic surgeon Takino Mizuki (Koshiba Fuka) is having trouble with Yokobuki Junichi, an elderly male patient who is hospitalized. Yokobuki is in the hospital with a broken leg, but he complains that his throat is sore and lashes out at Takino, saying, "You're a doctor, but you can't even cure a cold?" However, Takino, who can only leave sore throats, which are outside his area of expertise, to another specialist, is unable to argue against the patient's nasty remark... Then, a man calling himself a "general practitioner" named Tokushige Akira (Matsumoto Jun) appears...!?
