Sunday Theatre "The 19th Chart" Talented young actor Sugita Rairin makes his TBS drama debut! He exudes presence with his heart-wrenching acting, and delicately portrays patients and their families! Episode 2 will air on July 27th!

Matsumoto plays Tokushige Akira, a general practitioner at Fish General Hospital who not only diagnoses illnesses through medical interviews, but also finds what is best for the patient by looking at their heart and lifestyle, and extends a helping hand to their way of life.

In the first episode broadcast on the 13th, the doctor identified the illness of a woman who had been working while suffering from pain all over her body of unknown cause, and also saved her heart. The second episode broadcast on the 20th focuses on the boy and his brother who were brought to the hospital by ambulance at the end of the first episode.

The main guest for the second episode will be the talented young actor Sugita Rairin.

Sugita was selected through an audition to play the lead character's son in TV Tokyo's "With You Who Is Not A" (2018). His performance in the film "Hansekai" was highly praised, and he won the Best Newcomer Award at the 41st Yokohama Film Festival and the Best New Actor Award at the 34th Takasaki Film Festival. He has since appeared in NHK's serial TV drama "Yell" (2020) and the historical drama "The 13 Lords of the Kamakura" (2022). He is a young actor who is attracting attention, and continues to appear in popular works such as the film "The Fukudamura Incident" (2023) and the streaming drama "Gannibal". This will be his first appearance in a TBS drama.
Sugita plays Taku, a strong-willed older brother who supports his younger brother Saki, who has a congenital illness. His role is one in which the feelings deep inside his heart that he has never confided to anyone are gradually drawn out by his encounter with Tokushige. On set, the entire staff was captivated by Sugita's performance, which carefully yet powerfully expressed the delicate fluctuations of his emotions. He has a strong presence in this film, which has a star-studded cast.

With Saki's condition suddenly worsening, what developments will await her brother, Taku, and the rest of their family?
The second episode will air on July 27th.

Sunday Theatre's "19th Chart" is a new medical drama that depicts the theme of "examining people." What does it mean to "live" in modern society? Please continue to pay attention to Tokushige's warm-hearted posing of such universal questions throughout the eight episodes.

A boy named Okazaki Saki (Kurokawa Anji) with a congenital heart disease is rushed to the hospital. His older brother Taku (Sugita Rairin) accompanies him. Pediatrician Arimatsu Shiori (Kimura Yoshino), who has been Saki's doctor for 14 years since he was born, desperately tries to treat him, but...
Meanwhile, general practitioner Tokushige (Matsumoto Jun) seems to be concerned about his brother Taku for some reason. He was concerned about Saki's condition when it suddenly worsened during a conference, and he was investigating Taku and Saki's father, Koji (Higasaku Hisahide)... His actions made the other doctors suspicious. Arimatsu felt that he was being investigated for his own shortcomings and expressed his discomfort.
