Coremix President Nobuhiko Horie received the 4th Kumamoto Nichinichi Manga Culture Award.

On Tuesday, November 18th, Coamix President and CEO Nobuhiko Horie received the 4th Kumamoto Nichinichi Manga Culture Award. This award was established in 2022 to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Kumamoto Nichinichi Shimbun newspaper, and is given to individuals and organizations who have contributed to spreading manga culture from Kumamoto to the rest of Japan and the world.



This award was presented to the Takamori High School Manga Department, which Coremix cooperates with in the operation of the department in collaboration with the Board of Education and local governments, and the "Artist Village Aso District 096", and the all-female theater company "O'Clock Kumamoto Opera CompanyThis award is in recognition of his contributions to the development of manga culture, including his activities with the "Manga Lovers Association."

The award ceremony was held at the Kumamoto Nichinichi Shimbun headquarters on Tuesday, November 18th, and was attended by Kumamoto Nichinichi Shimbun Chairman Kunihiko Kawamura (pictured right) and President Shintaro Izu (pictured left).

During the ceremony, together with Shuichi Mochida (pictured left), President and CEO of Kumamoto Coremix, a group company, he spoke about Coremix's history and future prospects, and demonstrated his commitment to contributing to the further development of manga culture.


In addition, the ceremony featured a performance by the O'Clock Kumamoto Opera Company, and members of the troupe and students from Takamori High School's Manga Department presented bouquets and commemorative gifts.
