To celebrate the 40th anniversary of "City Hunter," the largest exhibition of original artwork in the series' history, "City Hunter Original Art Exhibition: FOREVER, CITY HUNTER!!" (hereafter "City Hunter Original Art Exhibition"), is being held at the Ueno Royal Museum until Sunday, December 28th. The exhibition features over 400 original artworks, the largest in the history of the popular manga, which has been serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" since 1985 and has a cumulative circulation of over 50 million copies.
This exhibition features over 400 precious original artworks, allowing visitors to relive the story of Ryo Saeba, a top-class sweeper active in Shinjuku, and his partner Kaori Makimura, from their fateful encounter to the bond they share as they become the best of partners. The exhibition showcases beautiful color illustrations showcasing Tsukasa Hojo's masterful brushwork, as well as black-and-white manuscripts depicting numerous memorable scenes. The exhibition's popular areas include the "Message Board" from the series and an immersive photo spot featuring life-size replicas of "Cat's Eye Cafe," where Ryo and Kaori appear. This interactive exhibition also features a special movie featuring TM Network's "Get Wild," allowing visitors to fully immerse themselves in the world of the series with all five senses. In addition to the exhibits, a variety of original exhibition merchandise will be available for sale, a must-see for fans.
