Kumamoto Manga Arts, a manga entertainment spot operated by Core Mix in Kumamoto that houses a manga goods shop and a theater where stage productions based on manga are shown, has opened the Kumamoto Manga Dojo on Thursday, October 16th, where visitors can experience the art supplies used by professional manga artists and try their hand at inking.
■ "What tools do manga artists use to draw?"
The workshop will use the G pens and inks favored by many professionals, as well as special manuscript paper, making for a truly special experience.
Our staff will provide thorough support, from how to hold the tool to how to draw lines, so even if you are not confident in your drawing skills or if this is your first time holding a G pen, please feel free to join us.

At the dojo, you will be challenged to try out some heart-warming scenes from a famous manga that everyone knows.
The time spent drawing characters while following a model and pouring your heart into each line to bring them to life is exactly what it means to be a manga artist.
