Core MixWe will provide support in cooperation with the Kumamoto Prefectural Board of Education and Takamori Town in Kumamoto Prefecture. Two second-year students from Takamori High School's Manga Department visited Coremix's headquarters (Kichijoji, Tokyo) on December 18th.
The department stayed in Tokyo on a school trip from the 16th to the 19th. On the 18th, which was a free day, two students who requested to come visited the company with three accompanying teachers, toured the manga editorial department (Zenon editorial department), and viewed the original art exhibition at Gallery Zenon.
After touring the Manga Editorial Department, the students viewed original drawings by professional manga artists. They listened intently to stories about handwritten names and the process of submitting manuscripts to the printing press. During the Q&A session, in addition to questions they had prepared in advance, they also eagerly asked the editors any questions that came to their mind.

Afterwards, we moved to Gallery Zenon, where we saw original artwork by manga artist and director of Core Mix, Hojo Tsukasa, at the ongoing "Cafe Cat's Eye Exhibition," before heading to CREATORS LOUNGE ZENON, a cafe lounge and co-working space that just opened in October this year. We spent our time picking up creative materials and looking at prints by director and manga artist Hara Tetsuo.
Finally, an editorial staff member looked over the drafts the students had brought with them and held a meeting, bringing the company visit to a close. The two visitors were assigned an editor, and their collaborative efforts to become professional manga artists have begun.
