Netflix, the world's largest video streaming service specializing in entertainment, has announced that it will exclusively stream the Netflix movie "City Hunter 2" worldwide in 2027.
The Netflix film "City Hunter," which finally saw its long-awaited live-action adaptation in Japan in 2024, depicts the "beginning story" of how Ryo Saeba (Ryohei Suzuki) and Kaori Makimura (Mizuki Morita) became partners, set in Shinjuku in the Reiwa era. The protagonist of the story, Ryo Saeba, is a top-class sweeper (fixer) based in Shinjuku, Tokyo, who takes on various troubles in the underworld. He has an unparalleled love for beautiful women, and when he encounters a beautiful woman, he loses all restraint, but when he accepts a job, he carries out the work with his extraordinary marksmanship, physical abilities, and calm and collected mind. It has been decided that Ryohei Suzuki will reprise his role as the cool, goofy, and horny Ryo Saeba, Mochi Morita will reprise her role as the heroine Kaori Makimura, and Fumino Kimura will reprise her role as Saeko Nogami, the beautiful detective who has a complicated relationship with Ryo. The new director will be Keiichiro Shiraki, who is known for his fast-paced direction and tense action scenes.
